Program Description

Program Description:

Join us at the library as local author A.E. Kayser kicks off our Fall Into Writing series with a workshop for readers, writers, and future writers.  Giving a behind the scenes look at the progression of an idea and how to follow it through to create a published manuscript, Kayser will use her newly published novel Out of the Ashes as an example of the components of writing.

This workshop will touch on plot, research, narrative, dialogue, editing - and how to end the book!

Please register for this event.

Ann Elizabeth Tamburro Kayser is the author of Out of the Ashes, published October 2024 by Word Association Publishing.  The novel is set in the year 1960.  The main character, William Running Fox, is a Native American on a journey to become a medical doctor.  From the Reservation in New Mexico, to ASU, to Washington, DC to Vietnam and back, Billy's quest takes him on a journey that is fraught with obstacles, some of his own making.  How he handles those obstacles makes him stronger and wiser.  Billy always reaches for the road not taken and, in many instances, creates an entirely new road.

Kayser is a writer, editor, and educator in the Pittsburgh area.

Part of our Fall Into Writing series through November!
