In 1926 work began on the Allegheny River Boulevard project which connected Oakmont and Verona to Pittsburgh. By 1934 the new roadway reached Oakmont.

These weekly, one-hour FREE meditation classes will be taught by monks from the Pittsburgh Buddhist Center. They are designed for beginners as a gradual training program in secular meditation practice.
